Christmas 2004
T’is the week before Christmas and all is a blur,
We have states without governors, what a stir.
With snow in the Midwest, in the north too,
Cold temperatures and strong winds turn everyone blue.
Yes winter is here so what’s to say.
Texas may see snow in South Padre.
Wars rage all over, our military dying for peace,
OPEC, for profit will supply oil in decrease.
Leaders cry in outrage to stop all the blood,
Tell OPEC we’re bleeding out at the pump.
Raising prices and taxes, it’s all the rage,
Just so politicians can stand center stage.
Do not despair, all is not lost,
Heed our government, they’re the boss.
Be joyfully happy and full of good cheer,
Keep your family close and credit card near.
Spend all your money, as fast as you can,
The foot steps you hear, is Uncle Sam.
Put a log on the fire, turn out the light,
Snuggle your loved ones close and say GOOD NIGHT.
