The value of a word

The value of a word, either written or spoken, is worthless unless it is backed up by actions and deeds.  The old saying, “The pen is mightier than the sword” is only true because someone was willing to use both.  A word is either sound or symbol; both may be forgotten or ignored unless actions follow.
